Event Preview
What is this for?
The preview page lets you see your event exactly as attendees will see it — with all content blocks, images, text, and the registration form. It is your final "test drive" before activating the event and sharing the link with your audience.
What This Page Is
The Event Preview page is the public view of your event. It opens at the /app/event-preview address and displays everything you created in the Event Builder: content blocks, images, links, and the registration form.
You can access the preview from two places:
- From the Event Builder — by clicking the "Preview" button on the toolbar.
- From the Library — through the preview action for an existing event.
What It Looks Like
The page has two parts:
Top Bar — Toolbar
A compact bar with two buttons:
- Left arrow (green button with an icon) — takes you back: to the Event Builder if you came from there, or to the Library if you came from there.
- Pencil (green button with an icon) — opens the Event Builder so you can edit this event.
Main Area — Live Preview
This is your event page, displayed full-width on a grey background by default. It shows:
- Three blocks — top, middle, and bottom, stacked vertically.
- Content in each block — text, links, and images placed in the upper, middle, or lower zone of the block.
- A registration form — if a block is set as a form block, it displays an interactive form with input fields and a submit button.
- Background images — if a background image is set for a block or form, it appears behind the content.
Interactivity
Unlike the Event Builder where you edit elements, here everything works like a real public page:
- Text — displayed with the configured font size, color, and alignment.
- Links — clickable. They open in a new browser tab.
- Images — displayed at full block width, cropped to fit.
- Form — you can fill in the fields and click the submit button. The system checks required fields and email format before submission.
How to Get to the Preview
From the Event Builder
- Open the Event Builder for your event.
- On the top toolbar, find the Actions section (on the right).
- Click the Preview button (the eye icon).
- The preview opens in a new browser tab.
Note: If the event has not been saved yet, the system will automatically save it first and then open the preview.
From the Library
- Open the Library.
- Find the event you want in the list.
- Click the preview action for that event.
- The preview opens in a new tab.
Going Back
Click the left arrow button on the top toolbar:
- If you came from the Event Builder — you will return to it.
- If you came from the Library — you will return to the Library.
Registration Form Behavior
When an attendee (or you during preview) fills in the form and clicks the submit button:
- The system checks all required fields.
- It verifies the email format (if there is an email field).
- If everything is OK — a green success message appears.
- If there are errors — a red error message appears asking you to check your input.
Note: In the preview, form data is NOT saved to the server. This is only a visual check. Actual registration happens on the live public page.
Important Rules & Tips
Note: The preview shows the exact layout, colors, fonts, and element positioning. Use it to verify responsiveness and visual consistency before going live.
Note: The Pencil button is the fastest way to jump into editing. You do not need to close the tab and search for the event in the Library.
Tip: Check the preview on a mobile device. The responsive layout automatically adjusts block widths to fit the screen.
Tip: If the form does not appear in a block, go back to the Event Builder and verify that the form block is configured correctly and that at least one form field has been added.
